The Golden Afternoon Bakery is a small cafe originally owned by Gilbert Nightray, but upon his return home it was passed over to Hunk and Keith. Located near the Canal Market, The Golden Afternoon Bakery is a perfect place to grab breakfast or lunch. With a rustic charm, it's filled with an assortment of handmade breads, cakes, pastries and sandwiches; with seasonal specialties.

Also offered are custom made cakes for any special occasion!



Description
Nestled between a restaurant and butchers shop, the Golden Afternoon Bakery faces the beautiful canal that gives this part of the market its name. Guests who visit and decide to enjoy their selection at the bakery may sit outside at one of the wrought iron patio sets, or enjoy a seat inside surrounded by the smells of freshly baked bread, and warm wood tones. The main floor is fairly opened and filled with a few tables and chairs, as well as a couple of cushioned benches along the far right wall. The front windows of the bakery are filled with goods just for display to entice new customers inside.

The back counter curves into an L shape towards the left wall. Here there are a few chilled display cases to store the more temperature sensitive goodies. On the counter tops are multiple glass display containers and small baskets filled with fresh pastries, and other baked goods. Along the back wall behind the counter are larger baskets to hold the various loaves of bread made that morning. There are also some of the display cakes Hunk has made to showcase his decorating skills. Off to the left side, where the counter curves, is where coffee and tea drinks are made to order.

Back in the kitchen are multiple ovens, stove tops, and counters where the magic happens. There are also an assortment of cooling racks, a proofing box, and a rather large floor mixer. A large walk-in cooler is off to the far right. Next to it is a supply closet filled with cleaning agents, as well as some of the inventions Hunk had made for the bakery's original owner, Gilbert. The rest of the back wall has storage racks for the numerous amounts of dry goods used throughout the day.
